By accessing and using It’s a Village (the “Website”) and its associated community chat groups, Swapsies section, and Find a Family platform (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Privacy and Confidentiality
The discussions, personal experiences, and any other content shared within our community chat groups are strictly private and confidential. Users must not share, screenshot, or disclose any information, discussions, or personal content from within these groups outside of the community, whether verbally, digitally, or in any other form.
2. Swapsies – Postal Address Use
Users engaging in Swapsies must use postal addresses only for the purpose of sending and receiving agreed-upon items. These addresses must not be stored, shared, or used for any other purpose. Users are required to delete any personal information once the transaction is complete.
3. User Responsibility & Safety
It’s a Village serves as a community platform to facilitate connections. However, all interactions and transactions are at the sole risk and discretion of the users.
We do not conduct background checks, identity verification, or risk assessments for users participating in the community chat groups, Swapsies, or Find a Family.
Users are responsible for exercising due diligence and personal judgment when engaging with others through our Services.
It’s a Village does not accept liability for any misuse of information, disputes, damages, loss, injury, or harm that may result from interactions facilitated through the platform.
4. Legal Acknowledgment
This disclaimer operates under Australian law, including but not limited to:
Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) – Protects individuals’ personal information and reinforces the confidential nature of discussions within the community.
Defamation Act 2005 (Qld) (or relevant state legislation) – Users must not share or publish defamatory statements outside the community.
Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) – Users acknowledge that It’s a Village does not provide warranties or guarantees regarding interactions and transactions between users.
By using It’s a Village, you acknowledge and accept these terms. It’s a Village reserves the right to remove users who breach these conditions.
